Forward
Today is an important post, I wrote last Thursday that we were about to see some changes this week, and the time has come. I will cover it all in the Markets/Earnings section below.
I also take serious pride in this being an affordable educational site. I am adding a veteran discount on top of adding student discounts to subscriptions.
VETERAN DISCOUNTS FOR WIZ SUBSTACK (need a vmail.vet address)
STUDENT DISCOUNTS for WIZ SUBSTACK (need an educational institution address)
If you enjoy the stack, make sure to like this post, restack, retweet, subscribe to the tribe. It goes a long way and I think 95% of those that upgrade will say they’ve seen their trading improve incredibly. But enough of the biz, let’s get down to wiz.
Reflection
I keep thinking I can simply push off my reflections, but it is always a trap I fall into. You may be new to the tribe, so you don’t realize that I often mix philosophy and larger, broader subjects into my writing, because I believe that self-mastery and attempting to master a broad range of subjects will ultimately improve your trading significantly.
My soul is naturally ambitious. I was not born into wealth, but as I grew up, I read about great presidents, leaders, masterful generals.
In my own naivety, I did not realize what it means to acquire an empire. That most of those who I read about were born into great wealth that their father’s father had built. In essence, I was misled about the patience you must have to build up your own wealth.
It is a sunset that is beyond me, but perhaps not to my descendants. Wealth takes decades to amass, it takes decades to hone in the next generation, it takes decades to unlearn mistakes. The only thing that will get you to finding a more comfortable life is by being patient and persistent. If you can find ways to slow down the outflow of money out of your hands, that is a good start. If you can find ways to slow it down so much that money begins to compound for holding on to it, that’s an even better beginning.
You must be able to bear the desert you walk through that is full of self doubt and maintain that your sacrifice will mean something more at the end of it all. I’ve talked about this before, but rarely do I think you will find any happiness chasing pleasure. I think that if you want to make yourself happy in life, what I have found is you take on more responsibility. You set goals and have visions, you help others. You build up your community and your family so that there is more there when you leave then when you arrived. That is duty and honor.
Rare and elusive principles that are hard to describe, but I know it in my gut and my mind. I have tried to live it to the best of my ability. Some of the wisest individuals I have met have the same similarities as the wealthiest people I have met, they live like monks, but their inner life and their spirituality is off the charts. Because they know what they do is not for them, what they do is a painful sacrifice everyday, yet they are satisfied and fulfilled in their mission. That is what we seek in life, what is our mission, our purpose, our way? When we’re on it, we feel passion. To stay on it means the hard stuff of grinding it out on days we don’t feel like it.
Thus, I cannot simply push off my reflections, it is an exercise in my own discipline to stay alert to my passion, and to my purpose. Because at the end of the day, I want to leave knowing I built others up, and I left it better than I found it.
Earnings
I will go back to more regular posting once this week is over. This is about the crescendo for me for ER plays. I hope everyone has done well, or that you have learned a ton in this process. Lets finish this on a high note Tribe!
Yes, I am truly the wiz when it comes to predicting earnings. Read through my tweets and you will see the highest level of accuracy when it comes to the art of the gamble.
