However, this company will be going public at some point and at that point things may change since I’ll be under a separate set of rules. However, I suspect most of you will be overjoyed because you’ll finely be allowed to directly invest in the wiz. (lol) I have to say, knowing the game, I have no doubt I could get a run like $PLTR to happen if everything aligns correctly.

It was a tough decision, but ultimately I think we are going to be able to do a lot of good. I think every man in his life is given a few rare opportunities to make a permanent change for good one that doesn’t necessarily benefit them, but will benefit future generations. I give up a lot by accepting this position. My identity on here (though still very obscure) may change, it may become known (something that I hate as all of you know). I love that I have been able to be an inspiring and helpful wizard, but I think most of life was focused on building my own Kingdom and that is not what I was called to do.

It was almost an ethical and moral obligation and by refusing it, I would be hurting perhaps the whole nation. I don’t think this is a goodbye to the Tribe, really it is a goodbye from wanting to be a hermit and enjoying hermitage. (Lol)

I really pressed during the talks what I would be able to do, and what kind of leverage I have. Let me tell you, we’re going to be able to make some significant changes.

I think I have a problem. It’s an awful one, and quite frankly at first I blamed the formatting of my letters. Then I blamed the fact that I would write in my head, but my hands hurt. Then I blamed my blame.

It wasn’t like I’ve been trying to play the victim, anything I am motivated to do I do. So why has writing been so hard for me over the last year?

I vowed that this would always serve as a sort of journal and transparent window into my life. Yet, I think I failed you all because I have become ashamed and frustrated with my lack of writing.

How fucking pathetic. hahaha. WoRDs no COme OuT so GoOD ON the WrITTEN PAGE.

I would meditate for hours - in fact as y’all know, I spent the last 2 months focusing on meditation and prayer. I would have these incredible dialogues (monologues?) in my head.

I discussed everything. I debated consciousness, Jesus, markets, economics, myself, my life, science. Everything that would make an incredible article. Then when I would get up to go record my thoughts, my mind would fall blank.

Seriously…what the fuck. I need to tell these people what I have thought or else how will they know? (lol)

I’ve been at an overwhelming sense of peace in my life.

CITY UPON A HILL

COLD WAR BASES IN GREENLAND

The most notable Cold War base in Greenland is Camp Century.

In honor of Jimmy Carter’s Funeral today, here is a small summary on his presidency. While I think that he did do a lot of damage to the United States’ position and made a lot of critical policy mistakes especially in Healthcare, I still have respect for him holding the Office of the President.

Jimmy Carter's presidency (1977-1981) was marked by a focus on human rights and a commitment to addressing domestic challenges.

Key Accomplishments:

• Camp David Accords: Brokered a historic peace treaty between Israel and Egypt.

• Panama Canal Treaty: Negotiated the return of the Panama Canal to Panama.

• Creation of the Department of Education: Expanded federal involvement in education policy.

Challenges:

• Economic Stagnation: Faced high inflation and unemployment ("stagflation").

• Energy Crisis: Dealt with the 1979 energy crisis, leading to fuel shortages and long lines at gas stations.

I have a really fascinating reflection in today’s article, I hope you enjoy reading on UAP’s, the US Government and the thought experiment of running technology research in silo from the general public.

Snow, and lots of it.

We are officially in the dead of winter. The old man in me stares more and more at weather, and it always is a perplexing thing how fascinated you become with weather the more you age. Maybe it is something of a developing larger self-awareness for your own place in the world.

If you didn’t read my kickoff to the New Year, so far every prediction in the Mkts coverage section going our way. We are seeing that double bottom bounce perfectly at where your ole wiz pointed out. Charts below. Things look good.

Additionally, this year…the next 4 years will require a lot of chatting on Trump and his administration, just as the prior 4 years required a ton on Biden. I always find that for a craft like trading that really requires no biases and factually driven decisions that so many are unable to just provide simple policy analysis without going deranged.

I’ve live my whole life in DC. I’ve grown up around the politics. I am not politically affiliated, but I know the government intimately especially from an economic, liquidity, and policy perspective. As I start this new journey of a year with you, I’d like to go back over who I am, outside of being a 674 year old wizard. ;)

I know many have heard this story before, as I have written for over 4 years now. I run a small fund out of DC, as well as run a government contracting company. It ebbs and flows between where my focus is. I am very much a patriot first, I am a unique problem solver, a fantastic dealmaker and strategist, and my companies routinely do incredible stuff. Before I had my own company’s, I served a long time as a CFO for multi-hundred million dollar to billion dollar companies. Finance was and still very much is my tradecraft, I am a ringer when it comes to understanding financials and financial engineering, and it evolved into trading as well. I believe though in a very renaissance approach to both trading and life. Be as much of a master in as many knowledge domains as possible.

I have traded for a very very long time (when was the IPO of the West India Company?). I have specific approaches that I enjoy, specific styles, (a ton on the education page and some of it listed below, I also really encourage revisiting my older articles (I also am going to somehow archive the telegram posts and make them available on here, but that is intern tasking)) I got a lot of training and have learned many secrets of market makers, that I believe should be shared. The funny thing about big funds is they tend to pass down most knowledge by word of mouth.

My general overall approach is to follow the data, swim in the same direction as whales. There’s no hidden gold, just how whales are going to push stocks around. Charts are last to know, but we can be proactive and find early signals of what stock may take off by identifying liquidity catalysts. Great theses also work.

I tend to write here to mostly just options trading, but it is rarely an indication of that I hold long in portfolios. This is because I want to keep this actionable and learnable for the Tribe. True investors time purchases, buy and forget. There isn’t much to report daily on with these kinds of things.

The street is often filled with rumors, as well as my connections with US Military Generals and other high ranking Government Officials. I relay what I hear as a special perk to Founding Members (69,420 Club) (you should sign up, it is most definitely worth it, on top of all of the 1:1 attention you get). Most founding members will be able to testify that the rumors I do filter down often come true, but again they are just rumors and hearsay, I have no basis to back them up, as well as no special insider information.

Merlin’s Best Practices

• Observe the first hour of the trading day, before entering new trades. The first hour is meant to be a time to sell, and to identify the trend for the day

• Use Heikin Ashi Candles as your main candle view. It is a better representation of true price action because it weights volume into the pricing of each candle.

• Use larger time frames to get into the minds of funds. Stay away from timeframes under 15 minutes. The best time frames are: 15/30 Mins intraday, 2hr/4hr for medium term trends, and the day/weekly/monthly for long term trends. Funds use monthly and weekly to guide a lot of their buying and selling decisions. Hundreds of millions of dollars are not decided simply based on what a stock is doing that day.

• For mastering technical analysis, start by trading on the 3 min, it is the truest representation of trading because time is formed on 3’s.

• Always use a stop loss or a stop loss percent

• Always have a target in mind for a trade

• Buy yourself time, you should buy options that are 2+ weeks out and optimally between 4-8 weeks out. This reduces the noise of intraday chop and allows you to be wrong without an account blow up

• Cap your trades with set amounts, size in and out of trades, regularly take profits, work in thirds, don’t ever let a trade sit idle for long or else it will interfere with your decision making.

• Always research a trade yourself and make sure it makes sense on the chart.

• Generally speaking, compound the option as much as possible (one you can buy the most of) within relatively the same IV as the options near the money...ie so if 110c is first or so option outside the money and has an IV of 45%, and 125c has an IV of 49%, you’ll generally speaking earn the same premium increase percent for whatever your target move is even if the target is 110 or 115. just make sure you close when it actually hits or gets near your target.

• Disclaimer, you need to manage your risk always and monitor the trade, only you know how much risk is appropriate for you, whether it is the right trade for you, or whether the trade makes sense. If you don’t like a trade step out or don’t take it, if you are not comfortable manage down your risk exposure.

Q: Merlin, this all sounds great, but if you are actually so great at this why share all of it?

A: I didn’t grow up rich, my family got me through a good education, but we struggled and everything has always been a fight. I have learning disabilities, I was always counted as the underdog. Life can be really hard and unfair, and if there is an opportunity to help others and lift you up and be successful, it drives my purpose. I WANT YOU TO SUCCEED. seriously.

If I can sherpa you through tough markets, teach you about liquidity, and talk about life along the way and help you find your purpose, I want to do that. I strongly believe that I am sent here on a mission to help bring light and good to the world. This tasking of teaching is part of that purpose.

I hope you realize that you are reading this today and here for a reason. You are meant to be here in this moment. You too have greatness within you. The world for far too long has been overshadowed in darkness, and it is time we go out make positive changes to it.

I also hope as you come to see me, you will see just an ole wiz helping guide you along. I am humble. I have no illusions or pretenses to how great I am. I am far from a perfect wizard, I make mistakes, I want this writing to be a testament that anyone can be a wizard and grow into one. It is why I also keep this anonymous, I want you to read these writings and let it resonate in your soul. To see someone that has climbed up the mountain and see the full truth and struggle of what goes on day to day.

I think it is why you will meet so many lifelong tribe members here, many who have learned all of my teachings that I have to offer, but still stay for the community we build here, and listen to papa wiz reflect on some occasional wizdom. China has been launching them from the Atlantic from submarines for years, but this activity recently has picked up. As of now, it is just a show of force and they are using it similar to how they used the balloon for **sigint** and **isr**, which are also part of the integrated comms system. I’ve been followed for over a week now from likely homeland or FBI, and they are looking to move on me and are unlikely going to let me cross into Mexico, but won’t because they know I am armed and I have a massive VBIED [Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device]. I’ve been trying to maintain a very visible profile and have kept my phone and they are definitely digitally tracking me.

I have knowledge of this program and also war crimes that were covered up during airstrikes in **Nimruz** province Afghanistan in 2019 by the admin, DoD, DEA and CIA. I conducted targeting for these strikes of over 125 buildings (65 were struck because of CIVCAS) that killed hundreds of civilians in a single day. USFORA continued strikes after spotting civilians on initial ISR, it was supposed to take 6 minutes and scramble all aircraft in **CENTCOM**. The UN basically called these war crimes, but the administration made them disappear. I was part of that cover-up with USFORA and Agent [redacted] of the DEA. So I don’t know if my abduction attempt is related to either. I worked with **GEN Miller’s L6 staff** on this as well as the response to **Bala Murghab**. AOB-S Commander at the time [redacted] can validate this. You need to elevate this to the media so we avoid a world war because this is a mutually assured destruction situation. It is truly a joy to be writing with you once again. My beloved tribe, what great adventures we embarked on last year! The year before just as well, and well the many years before that.

You know the wiz, I am humble and like to hold myself accountable too, I sold on after holding it from 8 dollars into the 20’s, way too early. Same with . I missed on in May, and tho initially successful, never hit my target on timeline.

But that is a part of trading. Yes, I have great discipline, and great hit rates. But, I am far from a perfect being, and I do strive to grow and learn each day. I think that is why we have built this tribe. Not just so you can see me work through much of this, but be part of a community that is working to not just make ourselves better, but the world better.

I cannot exactly express in words what I can feel, but I feel a strong spiritual shift into this year. A good, positive, uplifting and loving one.

I think there is a lot to say today, there was a lot to say these last few months. There is so much I want to express to you about my ole wiz bones, my wife, Gwen, our wiz kids. What experiments and technologies I have been bringing forth since we nailed our success.

I am working with a lot of good people that are coming forth to make positive change in the United States. This is not about politics, this is about building a great future for humankind.

The year ahead in my belief will be one of the best opportunities we’ve had in recent years, but unlike last year, it will be significantly harder if you are not used to understanding and playing the timing with how Trump works.

Fortunately, you have this ole wiz who can and will sherpa to the best of my ability up this hill over the next 4 years. There will no doubt be a lot of volatility, but markets ultimately should continue to rise.

I just know that it will be marked with tons of fuckery and volatility. Market makers will leverage against retail so that you feel markets are collapsing, then 2 weeks later magically, we are back to all time highs. Or there may be quick switches in liquidity that result in 3 straight down months, before a 6 month surge.

Just know, I have been preparing for all of this with my team here, and I will make sure this tribe is looked after and taken care of. Stick with the ole wiz and I will guide you through ;)

Reflection

I talked previously higher up about adding 2 mantras to your day to build on your introspection.

But I submit a third challenge and join this wizard in praying each morning.

“To whatever powers may be, thank you for returning my soul from the dust to this earth for one more day to do good”

The last couple of months, I’ve had moments that really scared me about the fragility of life. That life can be just taken away at any moment. It is not so much that I have never realized this, but I think if you are familiar with my other writings, you will often see that I talk about a haze of consciousness.

It isn’t always the most top of mind thing each day to remember how close to death we all are.

It is not something to be afraid of, I think there is great peace in your own time. I also have explored for you the realms of the psychedelics, meditated to lands that many have not seen, consulted spirits on many matters. There is definitely another side. This is far from the end of our journey.

But with that comes somewhat of a responsibility. Knowing this, thrusts upon us a duty to help others through this life. Whatever shadows this thing is, it is upon us to reconcile our inherited deficiencies and work to master and overcome them.

The debate on free will even seems a bit silly to me. I am a coded being. DNA that I did not choose runs through me. Objects much greater than me influence my existence, my thinking. The universe has apparent rules to it that I could not change if I so chose to or not. I can not decide that today I will fly, or that tomorrow the sun will be purple.

I cannot decide where I was born, I cannot decide what addictions I’ve been given. Is that defeating?

Only if we stop our thinking there yes. We are a blend of objects not within our control, and objects within our control. Free will exists to degrees of freedom.

I do not think anyone of us will ever be judged for how we acted in our weakest moment, but how we choose to redeem ourselves and fight for that redemption in this life.

I am just a man, I have my limits. Some chains will never be broken, I will not somehow morph one day into an octopus. I will not be able to morph out of a lot. But I have no limits on my kindness, on my compassion, on my bravery, on my understanding, on my mercy.

At the end of the day, it is our creator who will know what our max levels were and whether we pushed ourselves to it.

This year -

• be kind, it will show your strength.

• be compassionate, it will show your character.

• be brave, it will show resilience.

• be understanding, it will show your wisdom.

• be merciful, it will show your love for this life and the next.

DXY has topped, if you read my twitter today, you will see, I am not yet unshackled from 2024 after hitting my numbers, but I sense a great uptrend in the works. Not just within SPY but looking further to smaller caps.

I like one of the major trends of this year to be individual small cap stocks for now. We wrote it up on the white board as a major theme for 2025.

I am working on the math for the projections of SPY, but to be honest, my year end target seems to be around 647 right now, with some need for refinement.

plenty of other great winners in the box. without a doubt has a big pop waiting for it, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it can get into the 60’s off a squeeze.

For now, we know it has a 30% short interest on it, with a lot of momentum building for it, not just on the chart but within this company as well.

Short term target still remains 28-33, with a nice extension into 38 possible as well. We’re nearly there, no short wants to give in but we’re over the down trendline, with everything swing up for this stock. It should be bigger things ahead.

Right now, I am holding Jan 17’s for 20-25c, as well as Feb monthlies for 20-25c as well.

A squeeze never happens until it does. So many that we could look back at where it felt like molasses and then pop goes the weasel.

Reflection

I had a frog fall on my head while I was meditating this weekend. It was odd.

I think if you’ve read my stuff for a while, you know that I can be quite spiritual. I believe in it. I believe that there is more to this world.

I have had only a few very odd spiritual experiences, and I can say what happened to me was beyond bizarre.

We don’t live in an area where I see many frogs, but a baby green frog fell on my head as I was sitting, meditating. I was meditating asking for prosperity and wealth. I was contemplating that all things happen in God’s time, and that there is no need to worry as to when things will happen because it will always come about by his design.

I think we are entering in to a new spiritual age, and I can’t really back that up by anything in science, but I can feel it. I can feel a different energy when I meditate. To say a frog dropping on my head as if it fell from the ceiling with no real explanation as to how it could have was not some sort of sign, I don’t know what is.

But I do believe that we have been engaged in a spiritual war and that the last 5, 10, 15, 30 years humanity’s soul has been tested. The last 5 years if you were to believe the enemy was making a strong push to beat us down, in retrospect I could see it. But I can feel a new light emerging.

Reflecting back to some of my writings from the summer, I can even see some of the influence starting to grow and I was perhaps not even conscious of it at the time. I called for a return to God, and that perhaps our society needed more spiritualism in it. That man cannot live on the materialism of this world alone. I asked that you pray for me and that I continue to pray for you too.

I believe we have been in an age of despair and that our light is returning. That the time for despair is over, and we are nearing a new golden age. I have always tried to be deeply spiritually connected and to let the Universe/God/whatever speak through me in both word and deed. I have always repeated and given myself up in my meditations to my higher power and to use me as an instrument of their plan, because I do not wish for so many good people to suffer. I fall short often, and I don’t want this writing to be some biblical cliche. But genuinely, I can feel some lighter presence that I have not felt in a very long time.

I think a lot of human sorrow is coming to an end, that the corruption and terrible deeds are on their last legs. The tide is turning and that their is a new age of prosperity for us coming.

I often think of the Lord of the Rings lore of them at Helmsdeep. Aragorn and King Theoden sit in the last stronghold of the castle. The enemy has completely overrun them. There seems to be no hope, yet with Aragorn courage, he suggests to ride out and meet them. To not go out quietly into that good night. That if they are the last gasp of good in this world, they will meet the enemy head on.

“Forth Eorlingas” King Theoden yells as their horn blows for one last time. They charge out in the sea of evil that has met them, and they break through. But only find themselves now in a sea of the enemy surrounding them. In that moment, the sun rises over the mountains and upon a hill sits Gandalf with the cavalry reinforcements.

“The King stands alone,” “He is not alone” and they charge down that hill with the light surging to blinding levels upon the enemy before they are vanquished.

I think that there are a couple things to point out in what I consider to be one of the most important parts of the trilogy for our own hope and battles in life.

1. When the darkness surrounds you, you must charge harder to beat it back. You will be surprised just by yourself how powerful you are, just like how Theoden was able with his few men make such a large dent into the enemy.

2. If you are an instrument of good, your good is always stronger than whatever darkness there is.

3. If you ride out to meet the darkness, hope and light will always come to reinforce you

4. We cannot do it alone. If Gandalf and the light represent divine intervention, we too need the Universe/God’s grace to come to our aid to provide the strength to fully beat back the enemy.

I grew up studying under Jesuits as a Catholic. There is a small piece of their lore that they teach us. Our Founder was St. Ignatius of Loyola, and he personally believed that this world was an illusion for actually a spiritual battleground that is constantly ongoing. That the enemy (Lucifer and Fallen Angels) are constantly attacking humanity and they try to make it seem as subtle and obscure as possible. They will woo in secret cabals that will implement evil. They will try anything and everything.

St. Ignatius actually wrote a book called “The Spiritual Exercises” that describes the spirit war that is constantly ongoing. There have been times that I have been skeptical, but as more and more has been revealed like trafficking rings or the systematic blackmailing of people in power, it is hard to deny that this reality could very well be a spiritual test for all of us.

I think that the Catholic Church has made many mistakes, some unforgivable. I think that most world religions have been corrupted. Is that by design? To destroy our faith in the idea of a spirit? To muddy us so far down that we forget? There is no conflict between faith and reason. They both need each other to operate in this mysterious world we find ourselves in.

But it is likely our despair has come from too much scientific materialism, and we need a period of rebalancing the scales and reforming our institutions. Purging them with good people who can bring forth light and repair our relationship with the spirit.

I believe that a new age is beginning, and I can feel it deeply even now as I write. Something magnificent is upon us, and we will be arisen from the fog that has laid over us.

More coverage has been placed on this day in the past 4 days than at any point earlier in the year.

To be fair the Fed Reserve is under immense pressure to cut. Not just politically, but also from economic perspectives.

What is crazy is we have every John and Jane writing about how much they think the market will cut. We have letters from the Senate urging a 75bps cut!

Yet, no one seems to remember the Jerome Powell that we have known for the last 5 years. Jay is not jumpy. There’s a lot he could have done wrong, but thanks to his refusal to overreact we have avoided a lot of disasters along the way.

I guess wow, finally enough data to make a comment on macroeconomic data again, it must be the week leading up to FOMC.

A lot of titles of what could be today’s paper. As I wrote in wiz chat today in pre-market expect a drawdown to 544 on SPY and then some collection to start. We ended up drawing down past 544, almost closing the gap at 537.

Conveniently though, SPY stopped right at its longstanding trendline, leaving large gaps above it.
